Pop-By Checklist to Leave Your Mark

I hear from a lot of agents that it’s difficult to consistently stay in touch with past clients. You know it’s important but maybe you too find it hard to do it well for the long term. I’m going to share a system that works well to make it easy to leave your mark. 

  • Create and/or organize your contact list. 
  • This may sounds simple, but most agents don’t do it. Contact the people on your contact list! 
  • Send a handwritten card. Most people have gone digital so it’s a fun surprise when you find a handwritten note. It’s a great way to differentiate yourself with beautifully branded stationary that brings you to top of mind.
  • Schedule a coffee or lunch meeting, or host your own community event.
  • Plan four pop-by gifts in your calendar for the quarter. A subscription with a ‘lil something makes it easy and affordable.

  2. Networking groups…be a hit with a ‘lil something at your next BNI or other networking meeting …you will certainly “leave your mark” and be top of mind when a referral for real estate needs arise. 
  3. Are you part of a Golf club? Summer pool club? Kids in camps or sports? Share a ‘lil something with everyone and let them know you are always available for s’more referrals and to help with any real estate related questions.

September 28th is National Good Neighbor Day!

Friends…. This Saturday September 28th is National Good Neighbor Day! 

What a great day to celebrate!  As a Real Estate Professional, it’s always fun to use a special day to keep in touch with clients, friends, referral partners and of course neighbors!  You can also include neighbors to any listings you currently have or even have had in the past! It’s a perfect opportunity to remind everyone what you do and how you might serve them (and their referrals).  

Some ideas to celebrate! 

Host an open house at your office. It’s fall so maybe cider, apples, donuts… post it on Facebook and all of your social media and drop everyone an email and ask them to POP BY to celebrate. 

Organize a food drive, coat drive or other community event.  Be a Good Neighbor! 

POP BY this week… You can whip up a quick note to let folks know it’s National Good Neighbor Day and that you appreciate them! Bring some apple cider donuts, MUM’s , Pumpkins from your local farms.  (supporting LOCAL business is being a Good Neighbor!)
